Getting There
Savannah, Georgia
For those flying, the nearby airport is the Savannah Hilton Head Airport (airport code SAV). It is a small, easy airport to fly into, but is located a little ways out of the city. If you are getting a rental car, they are located at the airport. Otherwise, taxis and ride-shares are options to head downtown. The ride is about 20 minutes.
Information about getting to our venue for the ceremony, can be found on the schedule page with more information in the Q&As!
Where to Stay
Vacation Rentals
If you're interested in an AirBnB for your stay, we recommend you look for houses, apartments, or carriage houses downtown, near Forsyth Park. Savannah is an easy city to navigate, and quite walkable. Look for places in the North Historic District or the South Historic District, and roughly between Montgomery Street on the west and Price Street on the east. If you have any questions, we are both happy to help where we can!

The Marshall House, Historic Inn
We’ve set up a soft room block at The Marshall House, a historic boutique hotel in downtown Savannah. Built in 1851, it’s full of charm and Southern character, and maybe even a little supernatural haunt. It's just a short walk from the riverfront and about a 15 minute walk to Forsyth Park. Our group rate is available when booking through their website or over the phone with them with the code "LexiandAlex".

Activities
So much to do! Here are some of our favorite ways to connect with the natural environment, local culture, and historical significance of Savannah.

On the Water
-
Sundial Charters — a charter boat company we recommend located on Tybee island. They run nature-based tours around shark teeth hunting, salt marsh exploration, or barrier island visits.
-
Tall Tides Charters — if you're interested in fly-fishing or light tackle, give our good friend Chad a call. Captains Chad, Chase, and Perry are the best in the business, plus you'll see them on the dance floor too.
-
Georgia Queen — classic paddlewheel riverboat tour with scenic views of the Savannah River, historic waterfront, and lively working port.

Around Town

-
Live Oak Historic Tour — our number one recommendation! A truly fascinating walking tour led by a friend of a friend, Chris Grimmett, that covers some lesser known Savannah history. Daily 90-minute tours at 11:00am and 2:00pm, book online.
-
Jere's Antiques — a massive warehouse on Bay Street that is packed to the gills with 18th and 19th century furniture and architectural pieces brought over via container ship from Europe.
-
Telfair Museums — one ticket gets you access to the contemporary Jepson Center, historical Telfair Academy, as well as the Owens-Thomas House & Slave Quarters.
